Before building the current React portfolio, I had an earlier portfolio that was no longer reflective of my current skill set. My skills and experience as a frontend developer have evolved significantly since the creation of the old portfolio. As a result, I decided to build a new portfolio using React that would better showcase my current abilities and achievements.

The old portfolio was built using a different technology and had a different design and layout. It was less responsive and less visually appealing than the new portfolio, and it did not effectively communicate my strengths and capabilities as a developer.

1. 10+ custom components, including ArtSquares, an interactive artistic component

2. Responsive design using Bootstrap's grid system and media queries

3. Dynamic content management using Contentful

4. Various animations and pure JavaScript manipulation to enhance user experience

The first step in building the portfolio was to plan out the layout and content. I then worked on the design of the various pages and elements.

Next, I began building the portfolio using React and other technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I structured the code in a modular way, breaking it down into components that could be easily reused and maintained. I also paid attention to responsive design, ensuring that the portfolio would look and function well on different devices and screen sizes.

Throughout the development process, I continually tested and refined the portfolio to ensure that it was user-friendly and visually appealing.

The final result was a React portfolio that effectively showcases my skills and experience as a frontend developer. It includes a homepage, an about me page, a portfolio page with project descriptions and links to live demos, and a contact page with information on how to reach me. The portfolio is responsive, easy to navigate, and visually appealing, and it effectively communicates my strengths and capabilities as a developer.
